The Plastics Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines that produce plastic parts or products. This role involves ensuring the quality and consistency of products, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment in compliance with production goals and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle time) to meet production specifications

• Set up and operate plastics machinery such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, or thermoforming machines

• Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications

• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper functioning

• Adhere to workplace safety regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and quality checks

Job Requirements:

• Education: TVET Level 1 in related field of study

• Experience: 5 years of work experience out of which 4 years of experience in Manufacturing industries.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting plastics manufacturing machines

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints

• Basic math and measurement skills

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
