Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules for vehicles and machinery.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance programs are effectively executed.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of all fleet and machinery maintenance activities.
Develop strategies to optimize vehicle and machinery uptime and reduce downtime.
Supervision and Team Management
Lead, train, and supervise maintenance teams, including mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to maintenance personnel and ensure timely completion.
Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Budgeting and Cost Control
Develop and manage the department’s maintenance budget.
Monitor expenses related to spare parts, repairs, fuel, and operational costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
Ensure proper procurement and inventory management of spare parts and maintenance tools.
Equipment and Fleet Management
Oversee the inspection, servicing, and repair of vehicles, heavy machinery, and equipment.
Ensure all vehicles and machinery are in optimal working condition.
Implement fleet tracking systems to monitor vehicle usage and efficiency.
Evaluate and recommend the purchase, disposal, or upgrading of vehicles and machinery.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all vehicles and machinery comply with government regulations and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and service history.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment performance.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies for inspections, permits, and compliance requirements.
Coordination and Communication
Collaborate with other departments to align maintenance activities with operational needs.
Work closely with suppliers, service providers, and manufacturers for maintenance support.
Address emergency breakdowns and ensure quick resolution of maintenance issues.
Provide periodic reports and recommendations to senior management on maintenance strategies.
Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Auto-Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Auto Mechanics, Service & engine mechanics, Automotive servicing operation management or in a related field of study with relevant work experience
Experience: 10 years for Master's and 14 years for Bachelor's Degree
