Grace Construction Chemicals is hiring a "Sales Team Leader" to drive sales growth, manage key accounts, and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will develop and implement sales strategies, coach team members, and ensure revenue targets are met.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and ensure continuous skill development through training, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the team, ensuring alignment with overall company sales strategies.

Sales Strategy Execution:

  • Execute the overall sales strategy within the assigned region or market segment, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.

  • Identify key sales opportunities, manage territories, and ensure the team is focused on the most profitable and strategic markets.

Sales Target Achievement:

  • Drive the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

  • Monitor and track individual and team performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action when needed.

  • Report sales results to senior management and ensure that sales goals are being met.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners.

  • Ensure that the sales team is providing exceptional service to clients, resolving issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Assist in closing high-value deals, negotiating contracts, and building long-term customer relationships.

Sales Pipeline Management:

  • Oversee the management of the sales pipeline, ensuring that leads are effectively tracked, followed up on, and converted into sales.

  • Support the team in identifying potential leads, qualifying prospects, and guiding them through the sales process.

  • Ensure efficient and timely follow-up on leads, ensuring no opportunities are missed.

Training & Development:

  • Provide ongoing training to the sales team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies.

  • Support the sales team in refining their sales pitch and overcoming objections in the selling process.

  • Conduct role-playing and real-time feedback sessions to improve the team's skills and confidence.

Market Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, industry trends, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.

  • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, analyzing sales performance, market trends, and customer preferences.

  • Share insights with senior leadership and other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to help refine the company’s strategy.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with the Marketing department to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns and marketing materials.

  • Collaborate with Product Development teams to ensure that customer feedback is integrated into new product offerings.

  • Coordinate with the Logistics and Operations teams to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply chain-related issues.

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the sales process to increase efficiency, reduce sales cycles, and improve conversion rates.

  • Implement best practices and tools to ensure the sales team is working effectively and efficiently.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Oversee the budget for the sales department, ensuring resources are used effectively to meet sales goals.

  • Ensure the team has the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed.

Perform other job-related duties as required by the company

Job Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales Management, Marketing, Management, Economics, Industrial engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is typically required.

  • A Master’s degree (MBA) with a focus on Sales Management, Marketing, or Business Development is beneficial but not mandatory.

  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience in sales within the construction chemicals, chemical manufacturing, or related industries.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a diverse sales team.

  • Ability to set clear expectations, delegate tasks effectively, and drive team performance towards common goals.

Sales Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes, techniques, and strategies, particularly in B2B sales in the construction chemicals sector.

  • Expertise in negotiation, relationship-building, and closing high-value deals.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, internal teams, and senior leadership.

  • Strong presentation skills to deliver sales proposals, reports, and updates to stakeholders.

Analytical & Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to inform decision-making.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges related to sales performance, customer issues, or market conditions.

CRM & Sales Tools:

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track customer interactions, manage sales pipelines, and report on sales performance.

  • Familiarity with sales analytics tools and techniques to track performance metrics and optimize sales strategies.

Time Management & Organization:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, sales opportunities, and team activities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely follow-up with prospects and clients.

Customer-Centric Mindset:

  • A strong focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to tailor sales strategies to meet customer needs and resolve issues.

  • Empathy and active listening skills to understand customer challenges and offer appropriate solutions.

Negotiation & Closing Skills:

  • Strong negotiation abilities to handle complex deals and contracts.
