About Us:

Hey Trading PLC is a company formed by three young individuals who are passionate about providing goods and services to fulfill the market need. Considering the needs for original and genuine electronics products in the market, the first business stream of Hey Trading PLC was formed with the brand name “Hey Mobile and Computers”. 

One of the gaps in the Ethiopian market being the lack of a reliable marketing service provider, Hey Trading took the opportunity to utilize the in-house marketing expertise and provide a quality marketing service to different corporate organizations and formed Hey Marketing Solutions as the second business stream.

Our company, Hey Marketing Solutions specializes in delivering customized promotional material sourcing, printing, event management, BTL marketing and digital marketing solutions to various clients. In addition to marketing services, we manage procurement and delivery of various office electronics solutions to government and non-governmental organizations. The main channel of acquiring new partner organizations is participating in tender processes. In doing so, we are looking for a business development professional with tender specialties.

Postion Overview:

A Tender Specialist is responsible for identifying, preparing, and submitting tenders to secure new business opportunities. This role involves a deep understanding of tender processes, contract law, and the specific requirements of clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential tender opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals.

  • Monitor tender portals, industry publications, and client relationships to stay informed about upcoming tenders.

  • Analyze tender documents to understand the specific requirements and evaluation criteria.

  • Develop checklist for all tenders and share with team members

  • Develop comprehensive tender responses, including technical proposals, financial bids, and compliance documents.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely delivery of tender submissions.

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tender documents, adhering to strict deadlines and guidelines.

  • Monitor tender timelines and follow up with clients to address any queries or requests for additional information.

  • Review and analyze tender evaluation reports to understand the reasons for win or loss.

  • Identify areas for improvement in future tender submissions based on lessons learned.

  • Organize monthly report highlighting the success and lessons learned

  • Organize detailed information for tenders the team won and enabling smooth delivery of requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in any field of study

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working experience as Tender Specialist

  • Strong understanding of tendering processes and Ethiopian tender market insights

  • Experience of preparing tender for technology and office electronics solutions 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

  • Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, tendering software)

  • Relevant qualifications in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field
