Job Description

Store Keepers keep track of products stored in warehouses for transport to stores, wholesalers and individual customers. They inspect the inventory and maintain paperwork and documents.

Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • To receive the materials supplied by the vendor as per the purchase order placed by the Purchase Department.    

  • To check the materials thoroughly for quality, quantity, specification condition, condition etc.     

  • To categories the materials category wise and stock in the appropriate locations.     

  • To take appropriate action for care and preservation of the materials.     

  • Periodical stock verification and always ensure correctness of stock.     

  • To take safety measure for the safely by store house, materials and men working in store.     

  • To maintain the neat and tidiness of store house.   

  • To issue materials to the departments as per the indents.     

  • To issue materials to departments as per the schedule.    

  • To pass the bills of the materials received from supplier and send it on-time to Accounts department for payment.     

  • To carry out periodical condemnation board for the unserviceable materials.  

  • To act for disposal of scraps materials as per the procedure.    

  • To maintain all the documents up to data.

  • Generate reports and submit to respective departments.    

  • To attend audit.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or in a related field of study or College Diploma in any art field and at least 2 years of experience

  • Experience: 2 - 5 years of working experience out of which 1 years as a Store Keeper

Critical criteria/ Skill needed in this role:

  • Proficiency in inventory management.

  • Communication skills.

  • A storekeeper job usually involves interacting with colleagues, clients, employers, and even third-party vendors.

  • Reporting skill Data entry skills.

  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends.

  • Good Communication & reporting skill

  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
