The Content Creator (Amharic Focus) is responsible for developing strong, original, and culturally resonant content concepts in Amharic for marketing, branding, and communication purposes. The role requires advanced Amharic writing skills, creative concept development, and the ability to translate ideas into impactful messages for Ethiopian audiences across digital and traditional platforms.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop original content concepts, campaign ideas, and key messages in Amharic.
Write high-quality Amharic copy that is creative, persuasive, culturally relevant, and audience-focused.
Translate creative briefs into strong Amharic storytelling aligned with brand objectives.
Adapt concepts for different audience segments while maintaining message clarity and impact.
Write Amharic copy for social media posts, captions, advertisements, campaign slogans, taglines, scripts, and marketing materials.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in Amharic language usage, tone, and grammar.
Edit and refine Amharic content to meet professional publishing standards.
Translate or adapt content between Amharic and English without losing creative intent, where required.
Produce platform-specific Amharic content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Write short scripts and storylines in Amharic for video content.
Optimize content for engagement, clarity, and platform format requirements.
Ensure all Amharic content reflects Ethiopian cultural context, values, and audience behavior.
Incorporate local expressions, tone, and references appropriately for marketing communication.
Monitor local content trends and audience responses to refine future concepts.
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree or Diploma in Journalism, Communication, Ethiopian Languages, Marketing, Creative Writingor related field.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Amharic copywriting or content creation.
Strong command of M&E tools (e.g., Theory of Change, Results Frameworks, KPIs).
Excellent command of written Amharic, including concept writing, storytelling, and creative messaging
Ability to write clear and functional English is required for internal coordination.
