Job Description

Location: Rehabilitation Centre – Shire, Ethiopia

Contract Type: Fixed-term, Gross Monthly Salary: 29,360 birr

The Ortho-officer will be responsible for preparing, managing, and archiving patients’ files, and following up on patients' waiting list and appointment status for their medical visits. The role includes managing sensitive clinical information and direct contact with patients who will be treated at the rehabilitation centre.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ortho-Officer’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare and organise patients' files & Patients ID Card

- Database registration

- Management of the waiting List

- Coordination with the Ortho coordinator, Technicians and the Physio department

- Monthly Statistics

- Patient file must be registered in the database with all details

- Coordination with and distribution of Patients among Technicians in close cooperation with the Rehab Coordinator

The selected candidate is required to perform their duties on-site at the Shire EMERGENCY NGO Centre. Regular presence at the Centre is essential to ensure effective coordination with staff and participation in daily activities.

Job Requirements

- Grade 10th minimum educational requirement

- At least 1 year of experience in database entry and secretary roles.

- Previous experiences in similar roles are a potential asset

- Excellent knowledge of English, Amharic and Tigrinya (spoken and written);

- Good Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office Program (Excel, Word, Outlook);

- Knowledge of database software is a plus

- Ability to work according to the schedule and to meet deadlines;

- Precision, confidentiality and professional integrity are essential;

- Good communication skills.
