Welder
1. Position Title: Welder (MIG/TIG/ARC)
2. Department: Production / Fabrication
3. Reports To: Welding Supervisor / Production Supervisor
4. Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (Pardus Engineering Workshop/Factory)
To perform high-quality welding, fabrication, and finishing of metal parts in accordance with drawings, welding standards, and safety requirements.
6. Key Duties and Responsibilities
A. Welding & Fabrication
Perform MIG, TIG, or ARC welding based on project requirements.
Prepare materials for welding (cutting, grinding, beveling, fitting).
Weld components in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
Weld and assemble metal structures and machine parts.
B. Quality Control & Inspection
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Inspect weld quality: alignment, penetration, strength, and appearance.
Conduct grinding, finishing, and rework when needed.
C. Equipment & Maintenance
Maintain welding machines, cables, torches, and consumables.
Report machine malfunctions and replace consumables safely.
Keep tools and workspace in good condition.
D. Safety & Compliance
Follow all welding safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Handle hot metals, electrodes, and gas cylinders safely.
Maintain a clean, hazard-free welding area.
E. Production Support
Work closely with fabricators and machinists.
Assist in material handling and project coordination.
Record daily work, materials used, and welding activities.
Job Requirements
1. Required Qualifications & Experience
TVET Level II or above in Welding, Metalwork, Fabrication, or related fields.
1–3 years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing company.
2. Required Skills & Competencies
Ability to read welding symbols and engineering drawings.
Strong MIG/TIG/ARC welding skills.
Knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong safety awareness.

Strong work ethic and responsibility.
4. Working Conditions
Workshop environment with heat, sparks, noise, and fumes.
