Job Description

Job Title:  Cleaning and Other Outsourced Service Operation

Reports to: Employment Business Operation Director

Location: Head Office, Addis Ababa

  • Under the supervision of the Employment Business Operations Director, the Cleaning and other outsourced Service Division Manager, plans directs, monitors and supervises cleaning services, conducts studies to improve service quality and forwarding recommendations; directs the recruitment of cleaners. drivers, Motorist, gardeners, messengers, etc., for service stations to fulfill the staff requirements of customer organizations as specified in the respective contractual agreements; deploys and relocates, in consultation with branches, supervisors to duty stations; follows up fulfillment of the logistical needs of the staff in collaboration with concerned work units of the Company; and facilitates induction, equipment and deployment of newly recruited workers for the services.

     Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Plan, co-ordinate, monitor and supervise the overall cleaning and other outsourced service delivery activities of the company. 

    2. Conducts performance appraisal of staff under his the division in accordance with the appraisal scheme and the official timeframe set to that effect;

    3. Follows up and coordinate the overall activities of operational matters of cleaning and other outsourced  service operations 

    4. handles administrative issues related to cleaning and other outsourced service  and take prompt action on problems reported;

    5. Makes regular and periodic visits, communicating with client organizations, identifying customer grievance and devising ways to improve service delivery; 

    6. Prepares and submits reports on operations of cleaning and other outsourced  services;

    7. Conducts studies to improve service quality of cleaning and other outsourced services and forwarding recommendations;

    8. Ensure and coordinate the on time recruitment and deployment of cleaners and other outsourced service employees to the service area of client organizations as per the contractual agreement. 

    9. Ensures delivery of effective and efficient service in accordance with contractual agreements entered into with customer organizations;

    10. Deploys and relocates, cleaning and other outsourced staffs to different service  stations in consultation with branches and client organizations.

    11. Follows up the on time fulfillment and delivery of the logistical needs of cleaning staffs  in collaboration with concerned work units  of the Company;

    12. Facilitates   and coordinates the induction training and orientation programs of newly recruited cleaning and other outsourced staffs.

    13. Monitors and follows up implementation of procedures in connection with remuneration, promotion, transfer, reassignment, performance management, discipline and other personnel actions of workers engaged in cleaning services; 

    14. Reviews grievances and recommending systems to ensure peaceful industrial relation among workers, the company and the client;

    15. In consultation with branches ensures, the proper management and  preparation of annual leave plan for workers of cleaning and other outsourced  services

    16. Ensures that a personnel database of Cleaning service workers deployed to different client organizations  is properly maintained and updated;

    17. Conducts training need assessment; supports in administering appropriate trainings to the workers of Cleaning services  in collaboration with concerned units;

    18. Renders technical support in business deals with customer organizations in connection with Cleaning  and other outsourced services; 

    19. Ensures all activities function within the objective to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations;

    20. Develops, implements and maintains improved management systems with the view to create opportunities for improvement;

    21. Utilizes resource in areas of responsibilities as provided in annual work plan and budget within authorized limits;

    22. Takes due responsibility and accountability for managing and controlling resources and property allocated for work within area of responsibility; 

    23. Identifies the training needs of  cleaning service staffs  and follows up appropriate trainings and human resource development program, in accordance with company’s training procedure;

    24. Creates and maintains conducive working environment that enhances workers involvement in achieving organizational objectives

    25. Follows up and ensure the  on time collection of collectable service charges of Cleaning services;

    26. Develops a system of reinforcing teamwork and team spirit among staff of cleaning services to ensure cooperation and synergy.

 Job Requirements

Minimum Requirement

Master’s Degree in Economics or Management or Finance or Accounting or Marketing or other Business related fields Or B.A Degree in Economics or Management or Accounting or Marketing or other Business related fields with 8/10 years of experience respectively of which 2 years as a Manager
