Job Purpose

The Senior Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for staff, management, patients, guests, visitors and official assignments. The role also includes overseeing proper vehicle use and ensuring compliance with transport policies and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Driving & Transport Services

• Safely drive assigned vehicles for official duties, including transporting staff, visitors, patients, documents, and materials, etc.

• Ensure punctuality and professionalism in all transport assignments.

• Follow approved routes and schedules unless otherwise instructed.

Vehicle Management

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, water, tires, brakes, lights).

• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained at all times.

• Report mechanical issues promptly and follow up on repairs and servicing.

• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel records, and mileage reports.

• Ensure compliance with transport policies and safety regulations among drivers.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety rules, and organizational policies.

• Ensure passengers use seat belts and observe safety procedures.

• Handle vehicles, keys, and documents responsibly and securely.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding official information encountered during duties.

Administrative Support

• Assist with delivery and collection of official documents and materials.

• Support logistics and administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors.

• Ensure timely submission of reports related to vehicle usage and incidents.

Licensing & Skills

• Valid professional driving license (appropriate category).

• Good knowledge of local routes, road networks, and traffic regulations.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.

• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and discretion.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3rd Grade Driving License

• Completed 12th Grade under the old / and Grade 10 under current education system with 9 years of relevant work experience.

• Completed 1st year of college with 7 years of relevant work experience

• Completed 2nd year of college or Level 2 with 5 years of relevant work experience

• Completed 2 years of college or Level 3 with 3 years of relevant work experience

• Completed a Higher Diploma or Level 4 with 2 years of relevant work experience

• Auto Mechanics

• General Mechanics, Automotive

• Prior experience in NGO is an advantage
