Job Description

The Digital Loan Officer plays a vital role in facilitating digital loan processes at Digaf & Micro-Credit Provider SC. This full-time position, suitable for junior-level professionals with 1-3 years of experience, involves managing client relationships and utilizing digital communication channels. The role is based in our Addis Ababa office, focusing on enhancing customer engagement and streamlining loan applications in the IT, finance, and accounting sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in completing loan applications through digital platforms.

  • Evaluate/Verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness.

  • Provide support and guidance to clients via social media and digital communication tools.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to process loan approvals efficiently.

  • Monitor and follow up on loan disbursements and repayments.

  • Prepare reports on loan performance and customer feedback.

  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance professional skills.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and digital lending practices.

  • Support marketing initiatives to promote digital loan products.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer since, Economics and Accounting and finance

  • Experience: 1-2 year of experience in digital loan, microfinance, or banking operations

    Skill: 

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in loan processing and documentation.

  • Utilize social media and digital communication effectively to engage with clients.

  • Manage client relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze loan data and provide insights for process improvement.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve organizational goals.

  • Adapt to new digital tools and technologies swiftly.

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

  • Organize and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.

Desired Skills:

  • Understand basic financial principles and lending practices.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies.

  • Ability to analyze market trends in the micro-credit sector.

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to lending.
