The Procurement officers manage the entire process of planning commodities procurement and supply chain activities, including inventory control, logistics, and distribution, to ensure effectively functioning processes that avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.

Duty and Responsibilities:

  • Pricing & Supplier Relations: Provide pricing for materials, research, and identify suppliers, and maintain strong relationships with them.

  • Evaluation & Negotiation: Evaluate products and suppliers based on business criteria, prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms.

  • Order Management: Prepare and issue purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and resolve issues.

  • Quality Control: Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports, maintain accurate procurement records, and manage various documents related to purchasing.

  • Coordination: Liaise with project teams, end-users, and the Supply Management team to align requirements and ensure timely delivery.

  • Cost Management: Provide cost advice, prepare cost reports, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.

  • Maintenance & Support: Handle maintenance work and client complaints for completed sites for one year.

  • Records Management: Manage records of purchase requests, quotations, orders, and invoices.

  • Additional Duties: Perform any other assigned functions and prepare presentations on workflow challenges to management.

Job Requirements

Required Qualification: -

  • Education: Bachelor's in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2+ years in procurement or supply chain management and relevant experience.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of construction procurement and contract management

  • Experience in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and cost control

  • Understanding of supply chain, logistics, and market analysis

  • Knowledge of relevant procurement laws and standards

  • Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage procurement within project timelines

  • Proficiency in procurement systems and general IT tools
