Raras Technologies PLC is seeking a highly skilled and commercially driven Systems Presales Team Lead to lead and grow our systems presales function. This role is responsible for technical solution design, RFP/RFQ responses, bid management, vendor engagement, and presales governance across enterprise systems domains. The role ensures that all proposals are technically sound, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with customer requirements.

The position focuses on servers, storage, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), backup & recovery, and business continuity solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Presales Leadership & Governance

• Lead and manage the Systems Presales Team, including presales engineers and solution architects.

• Own the end-to-end presales lifecycle for systems-related opportunities, from qualification to bid submission.

• Enforce internal bid management procedures, approval gates, and quality controls.

• Support bid Go / No-Go decisions using structured sales frameworks

• Ensure compliance with presales procedures, policies, and internal documentation standards.

RFP, RFQ & Tender Management

• Lead the technical review and analysis of RFPs, RFQs, and tenders related to systems and cloud infrastructure.

• Define the technical strategy, solution approach, assumptions, exclusions, and risks.

• Assign presales tasks and monitor progress using collaboration platforms.

• Ensure all technical responses are complete, compliant, and evaluator-focused.

• Act as the final technical reviewer prior to bid submission.

Presales Solution Architecture

• Lead presales level end-to-end enterprise systems solutions design covering:

  • Enterprise servers and compute platforms

  • Enterprise storage

  • Virtualization platforms

  • Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)

  • Cloud infrastructure and cloud systems

  • Backup, recovery, and data protection solutions

  • Business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR)

  • Systems Security & Infrastructure Protection

  • Infrastructure monitoring and management platforms

• Operating Systems & Platform Software (Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE), Microsoft Windows Server ecosystems, Platform compatibility and licensing considerations, OS hardening and baseline recommendations

• Develop solution architectures aligned with customer requirements, budgets, and scalability needs.

• Ensure solutions comply with performance, availability, security, and resiliency best practices.

• Review and validate HLDs, solution diagrams, BoMs, and compliance matrices prepared by presales engineers.

• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.

Vendor & OEM Engagement

• Lead presales engagement with OEMs and technology partners (e.g., server, storage, cloud vendors).

• Validate solution compliance, licensing models, and technical architectures.

• Coordinate deal registrations, special pricing requests, and OEM approvals in collaboration with sales.

• Ensure vendor inputs are technically validated without committing delivery timelines.

Proposal Development & Quality Assurance

• Review and approve Technical proposals and solution narratives, Compliance and response matrices, Clarification responses and addenda

• Ensure consistency between technical, commercial, and financial sections.

• Maintain proposal version control and audit readiness.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

• Mentor and develop Systems Presales Engineers.

• Review technical outputs and provide constructive feedback.

• Establish and track presales KPIs (win rate, proposal quality, turnaround time).

• Build a high-performance presales culture focused on accuracy, quality, and accountability.

Customer Engagement & Technical Presentations

• Engage with customers during presales phases to understand business and technical requirements.

• Lead technical presentations, solution walkthroughs, and clarification sessions.

• Provide expert technical guidance to customers while aligning solutions with commercial objectives.

• Support proof-of-concept (PoC) and solution demonstrations when required.

 Job Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in enterprise systems architecture and presales solution design.

• Deep knowledge of:

• Enterprise servers, storage, cloud, and HCI solutions

• Virtualization and cloud platforms

• Backup, recovery, and BC/DR architectures

• Infrastructure security best practices

• Secure system design, segmentation, and access control

• Proven experience leading presales teams and complex bid responses.

• Strong understanding of RFP processes, compliance mapping, and technical documentation.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a commercial mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• OEM certifications (VMware, Microsoft, Red Hat, Nutanix, Dell, HPE, Lenovo or related) is a plus.

• Experience with government and enterprise tenders.

• Familiarity bid standards and structured bid management processes.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

• 4+ years experience in systems, cloud, or infrastructure solutions.

• 2+ years in presales leadership or senior presales roles.
