Job Summary

The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for planning and conducting objective assessment and audit (after-the-fact) of the company’s financial transactions, records and statements to help ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal control system; issues or irregularities are promptly identified and corrected; and financial and regulatory risks are proactively managed. He/she also acts as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and compliance.

Job Requirement

• Required Qualification: BA or MA in Accounting, Accounting & Finance and related fields.

• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting and finance, 3 years of which MUST be in internal audit related positions preferably in PLC.

Required Abilities and Skills

• Proven working experience as Internal Auditor/Senior Auditor in PLC business environment.

• Strong understanding of internal audit standards, risk management, and control frameworks.

• Working knowledge and strong understanding of Ethiopian tax laws and financial reporting standards.

• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and database

• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports

• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently, and sound independent judgment

• High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Term of Employment: Permanent
