The HSE Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the well-being of employees, compliance with regulations, and the reduction of environmental impact within our organization. The HSE Engineer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, conduct risk assessments, provide training, and drive continuous improvement in HSE practices.
Supports HSE Management System: Provides assistance and guidance in implementing and monitoring the HSE Management System (HSE-MS) at assigned project sites and facilities.
Reviews HSE Documents: Evaluates HSE-related project documents during contract bid evaluations and offers specialist input to identify and address any gaps.
Identifies Training Needs: Assists Project Managers in continuous HSE improvements by identifying necessary training and conducting sessions to effectively execute the project HSE program.
Accident Prevention and Emergency Response: Explains methods to prevent accidents, implement safety plans, and respond effectively to emergencies.
Conducts Risk Assessments: Performs thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommends appropriate control measures to mitigate risks in the workplace.
Ensures Compliance: Monitors compliance with health and safety legislation and standards, ensuring all project activities align with established regulations.
Promotes Safety Culture: Advocates for a proactive safety culture among all project personnel, encouraging participation and accountability in HSE initiatives.
Reports and Documentation: Prepares and submits regular HSE reports to management, documenting incidents, near misses, and safety performance metrics.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or Environmental Science
Experience:
5+ years of work experience in the related fields
Fluency in the English Language

Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
