Daily eat Delivery is a fast-growing food delivery platform in Addis Ababa. 

Founded by CEO drawing on over 18 years of experience in high-volume restaurant 

management and complex cargo/delivery logistics, 

we are building a world-class service adapted for local success. 

Our mission is to connect Addis Ababa's vibrant flavors to every doorstep efficiently and reliably.

Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for defining and executing the long-term technology vision and roadmap. The CTO will inherit the existing codebase, build an internal engineering team, 

and ensure the platform is secure, scalable, and provides a world-class user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of existing app (iOS/Android) and web platforms, managing maintenance, updates, and bug fixes.

• Develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Build, lead, and mentor an internal engineering, DevOps, and QA team.

• Manage cloud infrastructure, ensure system uptime, and implement data security protocols.

• Taking over the technology stack from a third-party development team , internal Head of Engineering or CTO is a critical transition. 

• A smooth handover prevents technical debt and downtime.

• Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and other department heads step by step

  • Preparation (Before the CTO's First Day)

  • The Formal Knowledge Transfer (CTO Days 1-14)

  • Access Transfer and Verification (CTO Days 7-21)

  • Full Ownership and Support (CTO Day 21+) 

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 

• Experience: 4-8 + years in software development/engineering, with 3-4 + years in a senior technical leadership/management role.

Skills:

• Expertise in scalable system architecture, cloud platforms, and data analytics.

• Experience managing mobile and web technology stacks in high-growth or e-commerce environments. Strong leadership and experience with the engineering recruitment life cycle.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
