The Embroidery Department Manager oversees all in-house embroidery operations in a large garment manufacturing facility. The role requires strong design and digitizing skills, technical knowledge of embroidery machines, and strong leadership. The manager is responsible for efficient production, quality output, machine maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to meet buyer and production requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Embroidery Design & Development
Develop, review, and approve designs based on buyer requirements.
Digitize and program designs using software such as Wilcom.
Ensure design accuracy and guide sample development.
B. Embroidery Machine Operation & Technical Management
Supervise daily operation of all embroidery machines.
Work with mechanics on maintenance and calibration
Troubleshoot machine and design issues.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
C. Production Management
Plan embroidery production schedules aligned with factory plans
Monitor workflow, machine use, and output efficiency
Ensure timely, high-quality production.
Manage inventory of threads, backings, needles, and materials.
D. Quality Control
Set embroidery quality standards based on buyer expectations.
Inspect stitching, color accuracy, and overall quality.
Address defects and prevent rework.
E. Team Leadership & Training
Lead and supervise operators, technicians, and designers.
Provide training on design, machine operation, and quality.
Evaluate performance and enforce safety and discipline.
F. Communication & Reporting
Coordinate with merchandising, production, sample, and QA teams.
Report daily production, machine status, and manpower needs.
Assist during buyer visits and audits.
Job Requirement:
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Garment, Textile, Mechanical Engineering or in a related field of study with relevant work experience
Experience: 5–7 years’ experience in industrial embroidery; large-factory experience preferred.
Strong digitizing and design skills (Wilcom).
Technical knowledge of machine mechanics and maintenance.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Good English and ability to work under pressure.
4. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with international brands.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
Experience managing 50+ employees.
