Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis II Chef to join our kitchen team during the day shift. The role involves assisting in food preparation, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

 Location: Addis Ababa

Job Type: Fulltime & Onsite

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and menu guidelines.

  • Follow instructions from senior chefs to ensure consistent quality and presentation.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items to minimize waste.

  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries.

  • Support the kitchen team in various tasks during busy service periods.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Head Chef

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or kitchen assistant preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work overnight, weekends, and holidays.

  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
