Job Description

Established in 2006, Pioneer Diagnostic Centre (PDC) is a forerunner in quality medical imaging and diagnostic services in Ethiopia, with a portfolio of state-of-the-art new-generation MRI, CT scan, X-Ray, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and Ultrasound machines. PDC operates from seven centers in Addis Ababa and three centers in outside Addis Ababa.

Job Purpose/Summary

The Senior Accountant supports daily and monthly accounting activities. The role focuses on accurate financial recording, timely reporting, expense control, and compliance with Ethiopian tax and accounting requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Record and post daily financial transactions.
Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly closing.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Review revenue reports and reconcile receivables.
Review supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules.
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Prepare Cost sharing, Pension Fund, withholding, and payroll tax computations.
Support internal and external audits.
Guide junior accountants and review their work.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

BA degree from an accredited college/university in Auditing or Accounting or Accounting and Finance or Financial management with working experience A minimum of 6 years of experience in internal audit.
Minimum five years of experience, including two in a senior role.
Knowledge of IFRS and Ethiopian tax laws.
Proficiency in Peachtree or similar software.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
