Job Description

KHLMEN TRADING PLC is a reputable importer and distributor of agricultural equipment, irrigation water pumps and systems, electrical water pumps of various sizes, construction tools, and electrical materials. The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health. This role involves handling accounts payable/receivable, reconciling financial statements, and assisting in budgeting and auditing processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Recording & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and journals.

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

    • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and receivable.

  2. Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

    • Monitor expenditures and recommend cost-saving measures.

  3. Compliance & Auditing

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

    • Support internal and external audits.

    • Prepare and file statutory reports (tax filings, GST, VAT, etc.).

  4. Accounts Management

    • Manage invoices, payments, and payroll entries.

    • Track outstanding payments and follow up with clients/vendors.

  5. Financial Analysis

    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or risks.

    • Provide management with actionable insights to support decision-making.

  6. Software & Systems Management

    • Maintain and update accounting software and systems.

    • Implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 

  • Professional certifications like CPA, CA, or equivalent are a plus.

  • Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience 

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Good communication skills for reporting and coordination with internal teams.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
