About Addis Cardiac Hospital (ACH)

Addis Cardiac Hospital (ACH) is a specialized cardiac center dedicated to providing high-quality cardiovascular care supported by highly trained clinical teams and modern medical technology. As the hospital expands its operations and strengthens its institutional systems, ACH is recruiting an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.

The CFO will lead all financial functions of the hospital and serve as a key advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors. The role oversees financial strategy, budgeting, revenue cycle management, treasury, financial reporting, governance, internal controls, compliance, and long-term financial planning. The CFO will also play a critical role in modernizing ACH’s financial systems and supporting institutional growth.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of ACH’s financial strategy and long-term financial plans.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and multi-year financial modeling.

  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, IFRS, MOR regulations, and internal policies.

  • Strengthen internal controls, financial SOPs, and risk-management frameworks.

  • Oversee revenue cycle management: billing, claims reconciliation, receivables, and insurance processes.

  • Lead treasury operations, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.

  • Provide oversight to procurement, vendor management, and expenditure controls.

  • Drive automation of accounting and financial systems, including ERP implementation and digitalization of financial processes.

  • Oversee external audits, internal audit coordination, and audit-issue resolution.

  • Lead costing and financial performance analytics across service lines (cardiology, surgery, cath-lab, pharmacy, ICU, diagnostics).

  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team with clear specializations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • ACCA, CPA, IFRS, or other professional certifications strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive financial management experience, including at least five years in senior leadership roles.

  • Proven experience in automation of accounting/financial systems and ERP implementation.

  • Strong background in budgeting, costing, financial analytics, and IFRS reporting.

  • Experience in hospital finance, healthcare systems, insurance, or large service organizations is an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to strengthen internal controls, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • High professional integrity and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
