Pastoralist Initiative Development Aid (PIDA) invites committed, experienced and competent applicants for the following position.

Pastoralist Initiative Development Aid (PIDA) signing a Sub-grant agreement with Oromia Development Association (Lead Organization) for project entitled Life- saving humanitarian assistance to address the most critical needs of internally displaced people, returnees and refugees with EHF-OCHA for implementation of Health and Multi-Purpose Cash Assistant (MPCA) in Oromia Region, East Borana Arero Woreda.

The general object of this project is to address the humanitarian needs of 80% internally displaced people in Arero woredas, East Borena zone through implementation of a project entitled Life-saving humanitarian assistance to address the most critical needs of internally displaced people and affected communities for the period of nine months of 2026. The proposed projects required establishing a Mobile Health and Nutrition Team at woreda level to provide essential health services and multi-purpose cash assistants for eligible affected communities at IDP/ and Health facilities.

Hence, PIDA planned the recruitment of Project staff at Arero Woreda for entitled Life-saving humanitarian assistance to address the most critical needs of internally displaced people, returnees for two sectors of Health and Multi- Purpose Cash Assistant thematic intervention.

Job Title - Health Team Leader 

Number of position - 1(one)

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the team and coordinate activities.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the mobile health team services package as per the standard

  • Acute and life-threatening illnesses treatment as the primary health care level.

  • Safe motherhood and child health consultation.

  • Provide supervision, technical assistance, and capacity building to health extension workers.

  • Supporting integrated mobile health service modality, daily dispensary, and drug supply management.

  • Responsible for day-to-day documentation of service provided.

  • Strengthening of early referrals mechanism

  • Compile weekly and monthly reports and share with MHTS coordinator/focal person at Woreda health offices and PHCU level.

  • Strengthening of linkages and coordination mechanisms between community, health facilities and the Woreda health office.

  • Working at temporary Adult OPD and manage all cases Communicable and NCD.

  • Medical Consultation encountered by the team, including reproductive health 

  • Health Team Leader will work under the overall leadership of the PIDA Regional, Zonal Cluster office and Woreda representative, and report directly to the Woreda Coordinator and Project manager, 

  • Insure accurate & timely collection of data, analysis & reporting based on the requirements.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual project performance report.

Job Requirements

  • MA/MSC, BA/BSC in Public Health, Medical doctor, and other health related fields,

  • Year of Experience 4, 6 for MA/MSC and BA/BSC respectively in coordinating

  • health or related projects in NGO's, government and Humanitarian organizations,

  • Written & oral communication skills in English, Afaan Oromo & Amharic are mandatory.

  • Basic skills in Computer.

  • Motorcycle driving skill and licensed
