Job Description

Pastoralist Initiative Development Aid (PIDA) invites committed, experienced and competent applicants for the following position.

Pastoralist Initiative Development Aid (PIDA) signing a Sub-grant agreement with Oromia Development Association (Lead Organization) for project entitled Life- saving humanitarian assistance to address the most critical needs of internally displaced people, returnees and refugees with EHF-OCHA for implementation of Health and Multi-Purpose Cash Assistant (MPCA) in Oromia Region, East Borana Arero Woreda.

The general object of this project is to address the humanitarian needs of 80% internally displaced people in Arero woredas, East Borena zone through implementation of a project entitled Life-saving humanitarian assistance to address the most critical needs of internally displaced people and affected communities for the period of nine months of 2026. The proposed projects required establishing a Mobile Health and Nutrition Team at woreda level to provide essential health services and multi-purpose cash assistants for eligible affected communities at IDP/ and Health facilities.

Hence, PIDA planned the recruitment of Project staff at Arero Woreda for entitled Life-saving humanitarian assistance to address the most critical needs of internally displaced people, returnees for two sectors of Health and Multi- Purpose Cash Assistant thematic intervention.

Job Title - Social-Mobilizer/guider

Number of position - 1(one)

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Mobilize the community for various awareness creation and health promotion events,

  • Control crowd during health service provision by mobile health team.

  • Make registration and keep updated demographic data ,

  • Closely work with the MHNT as one of the team members ,

  • Create smooth relationship and closely work with the community and HEWs and community representatives;

  • Link community members who need health service to the MHT to seek proper health service,

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual project performance report and

  • Responsible to perform other duties assigned by his /her immediate supervisors

Job Requirements

  • Degree Public Health/ Social Workers and other related Health and with Minimum of 4 years' work experience in coordinating health or related projects in NGO's, government, Humanitarian Response and private organizations.

  • Written & oral communication skills in English, Afaan Oromo & Amharic are mandatory.

  • Basic skill in Computer
