Job Description

The Retail Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring products are well-displayed, fully stocked, correctly priced, and visually appealing in retail outlets. The role supports sales growth by maintaining strong relationships with store staff and executing all merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Display & Merchandising

    • Arrange products according to planograms and brand guidelines.

    • Ensure proper display, visibility, and availability of our products in all assigned retail outlets and sales points.

    •  Visit outlets regularly to monitor stock levels, shelf share, pricing, and promotional materials.

    • Set up and maintain promotional displays, POS materials, and signage.

  2. Stock Management

    • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.

    • Check expiry dates, damages, and slow-moving items.

    • Report out-of-stock situations and request replenishment.

  3. Market Execution

    • Ensure correct pricing, visibility, and SKU availability.

    • Track competitor activities and share market insights.

    • Verify promotion compliance in all assigned stores.

  4. Relationship Building

    • Maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff.

    • Provide product information and educate store staff when needed.

  5. Reporting

    • Submit daily/weekly reports on stock levels, display status, and issues.

    • Capture and share photos of implementations and competitor displays.

    • Report sales trends, customer feedback, and opportunities.

  6. Operational Excellence

    • Follow assigned route plans and visit schedules.

    • Ensure proper use of merchandising materials and company assets.

    • Maintain high levels of professionalism and brand representation.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business (preferred).

  • Experience in retail merchandising or FMCG sales is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and customer-handling skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time well.

  • Physically able to handle lifting and product arrangements.
