The role involves preparing and consolidating organizational budgets, monitoring expenditures against approved limits, and generating financial reports through the ERP system. It includes supervising revenue collection and payments, ensuring proper financial documentation, and enforcing company accounting policies. The position oversees all expenditures and supporting documents, ensures timely payment of salaries and other obligations, and prepares reconciliations, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. It also monitors income from services, maintains alignment between finance ledgers and treasury records, compiles statistical financial data, and performs additional duties assigned by the department head.

Main activities:-

Record the revenue and expenditures of the organization on the basis of their accounting software. Prepare bank reconciliation balancing it and different journals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Collects, consolidates and prepares budget lists for the organization, as directed by the department head.

2. Record and review the authorized budget for its operation by dividing it by number; and monitors the expenditure so that it does not exceed the allowable budget.

3. Prepares financial statements from the ERP Software to the immediate manager in accordance with the instructions provided.

4. Shall provide the proper supervision of the revenue collected for the service and the various payments made in accordance with its obligations.

5. Provides and maintains approved documents required for the accounting and other purposes of accounting.

6. Supervise and monitor all expenditures, signed by the appropriate authority, supporting documentation for expenditure, handling of legal receipts, and their expenditures for their assigned activities;

7. Supervise and follow up the accounting policies issued by the company during any accounting period;

8. Ensures timely payment of employee salaries, insurance and rent payments to an eligible person or organization, and ensures that documentation is maintained.

9. Prepare reconciliation, Balance sheet , Income statement and cash flow  with the treasurer and submit a detailed report to his immediate supervisor for decision making process.

10. Monitor revenue from service provision and other sources with respect to income.

11. Appropriate balance shall be maintained between the Accounting & Finance ledger and the treasury record.

12. Consists on the statistical data of the organization's revenue and expenditure activities, as per its directives.

13. Performs other duties as assigned by the head.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: MSc or Bachelor’s degree in Finance and accounting 

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience  in PLC or similar organizations would be preferable. 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of fintech platforms and digital financial services.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and data protection laws.

  • Proficiency in using technology to streamline operations.

  • Proficient  in using accounting software’s like ERP systems, Peachtree, QuickBooks etc..

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
