Job Description

LonAdd HR Consultancy Plc (www.lonadd.com) is a Recruitment & Outsourcing Company based in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, with branch offices in Dukem, Hawassa and Bahir Dar. We are looking to recruit Central Pharmaceutical Warehouse Manager to join On Behalf of Our Client.

The Central Warehouse Manager (M03) is responsible for managing all daily warehouse operations at DKT Ethiopia’s Central Warehouse. This position ensures safe, compliant, efficient, and accurate handling of pharmaceutical products from receiving to dispatch. The Manager enforces EFDA storage regulations, GDP/GWP guidelines, inventory accuracy, and proper documentation in alignment with DKT standards and SAP system requirements.

The role ensures products are stored properly, stock records are accurate, warehouse conditions meet regulatory standards, and orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.

2. Key Roles and Responsibilities

A. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Lead and oversee all central warehouse operations including receiving, binning, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.

  • Ensure proper execution of all warehouse SOPs and compliance with EFDA regulations.

  • Supervise warehouse assistants, operatives, and cleaners on daily activities.

  • Manage warehouse layout, organization, palletization, labeling, and cleanliness.

  • Ensure daily operational readiness and secure control of the warehouse premises.

B. Inventory Management

  • Ensure strict implementation of FEFO, batch tracking, and item traceability.

  • Maintain bin-level accuracy and ensure correct bin-to-SAP alignment.

  • Perform routine cycle counts and support monthly/quarterly/annual physical inventory counts.

  • Report variances promptly and support reconciliation with the Logistics & Inventory Lead.

  • Monitor stock movements including near-expiry, quarantined items, blocked stock, and returns.

  • Maintain clean and accurate stock cards and electronic records.

C. Receiving & Dispatch

  • Oversee proper receiving of goods including GRN preparation, visual inspection, and documentation accuracy.

  • Ensure dispatches are processed with correct picking lists, delivery notes, issue notes, and EFDA documents.

  • Verify quality and quantity of products during both receiving and issuing.

  • Ensure correct vehicle loading, sealing, and dispatch records for all outbound shipments.

D. Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Maintain GDP/GWP standards across storage, housekeeping, product arrangement, pest control, and humidity/temperature monitoring.

  • Enforce EFDA/WHO standards for controlled pharmaceuticals and sensitive items.

  • Ensure all warehouse staff follow safety procedures (PPE, fire safety, handling).

  • Maintain complete, up-to-date warehouse documentation for audits.

  • Ensure immediate reporting and handling of damaged, recalled, or expired products.

E. SAP & Documentation

  • Support the Fulfillment Lead in ensuring accurate SAP posting of:

    • GRN/GRV

    • Material movements

    • Picking confirmations

    • Stock transfers

    • Bin location updates

  • Update daily warehouse activity logs and documentation (stock cards, bin cards, dispatch logs, temperature logs).

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse activity reports.

F. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Assign daily tasks and supervise attendance, discipline, safety, and performance of warehouse staff.

  • Ensure proper training for warehouse team members in handling pharmaceuticals.

  • Foster teamwork, reliability, and operational discipline.

  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to assistants and operatives.

Job Requirements

3. Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Pharmacy (Druggist) – Mandatory.

  • Valid EFDA Professional License – Mandatory.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical warehouse or medical supply operations Management.

  • Knowledge of GDP/GWP, EFDA regulations, and pharmaceutical handling procedures.

  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse documentation, and stock management.

  • Familiarity with ERP/SAP or similar warehouse management systems.

Operational and Behavioral Skills

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise daily tasks

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and operational discipline

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines

  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills

  • Integrity, teamwork, and positive work attitude
