The Benefits & Compensation Manager is a managerial HR position responsible for designing, implementing, and managing employee compensation and benefits programs. The position holder is goal of ensuring fair, competitive, and legally compliant packages that attract and retain by reducing staff turnover. He/she as core business partner should optimize the business operational efficiently and effectively executed to support the achievement of the Sher Ethiopia’s vision, mission and strategic objectives

About the Role /Key Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and managing employee compensation and benefits programs

  • Execute compensation and benefit including use of tools, templates, policies and procedures

  • Manage inquiries related to compensation & benefits and send complex issues to supervisor.

  • Conduct market   survey and analysis of the data for compensation and benefit revision.

  • Maintain integrity of all aspects of compensation and benefits data used in implementing

  • Assist in salary administration programs, reviewing changes in wages and salaries for conformance to policy,

  • Participate in the selection of benefit service providers, review quality and cost of the services.

  • Partner with Operation to define processes and procedures for compensation and benefits administration.  

  • Interpret procedure/policy manuals and other reference materials to assist with decision making in relation to compensation and benefits administration.

  • Contributes to the management of the welfare and motivation of employees tb ensuring Compensation and Benefits.

  • Overseeing the efficient and effective development and execution of the Staff Benefits.

  • Prepare the annual salary increase negotiations with Unions

  • Trains and advice HR staff on application of HR compensation, benefits and job level policies

  • Audits of application of HR compensation policies and internal equity within the company

  • Maintains job levels and grades system, prepares updates and conducts grading for new positions

  • Maintains company salary table

  • Conducts yearly benchmarks with regional flower farms and comparable companies in region

  • Works closely with HR coordinators on engagement of workers

  • Reports any particularities to his/her superior

  • Performs any other duties that may be allocated by his/her superior

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Management, or related fields.

  • Five (5) years of demonstrated experience.

  • Advanced computer, writing and reading skills.

  • System Administration 

  •  Experience in writing HR / pay policies 

  • Experience with union negotiations 

  • Experience with pay-for-performance policies

  • Report Writting Skill 

  • Business English
