Position Title  : Junior Quality Assurance Pharmacist

Division  : Quality Assurance 

Reporting to : Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary/Main Purpose:

Junior QA Pharmacist is responsible for carrying out/ participating in various QA Operations: Documentation, Internal Auditing, Product Quality Review, Validation/ Qualification of process/ Equipment/ Method, and Training activities within the organization..

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the QA Manager, The Jr.QA Pharmacist shall carry out the following duties:

  • Reviewing of batch processing records received from IPQA-supervisor, before transferring to the QA Associate Manager. 

  • Notify any error observed during review of batch documents and coordinate with production and packaging department for rectifying mistakes. 

  • Preparation, review, and issuance of new/ existing Batch processing documents.

  • Carryout daily/ weekly inspection along with senior QA staffs for cGMP compliance gap assessment in the company.

  • Record non-compliances and notify department of the recorded non-compliance observations and follow up the correction. 

  • Prepare a summary report of the observed non-compliance to the QA/QC Manager.

  • Participate in periodic self-inspections conducted in the company and follow up of the implementation and closeout of the audit observations. 

  • Responsible for receiving, logging, assessing, and follow-up of the closing of initiated CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) and retaining the documents related to it.   

  • Review all documents (Standard Operating Procedures and technical documents) for correctness and compliance prior to further review by QA Associate Manager. 

  • Responsible for receiving, reviewing, controlling, handling, and distribution of all Julphar Pharmaceuticals PLC. (Ethiopia) SOPs and technical documents.

  • Responsible for documents archiving and retrieval of supersedes documents. 

  • Review all annually manufactured products by Julphar Pharmaceuticals Plc. (Ethiopia) and prepare Product Quality Review (PQR) document for each product. 

  • Follow-up the conduction of training by departments as per their respective approved training calendar and archive training related documents. 

  • Participate in the execution of both validation and qualification activities; document compilation, review, and follow-up. 

  • Check stability study data for any OOS or OOT and make sure the necessary action is taken.

  • Compile and document finalized stability study records and prepare report. 

  • Prepare and review an approved vendor list for APIs, inactive raw materials and packaging materials. 

  • Performs other duties (where explanation provided and understood) that concern the department in accordance with the instruction issued by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements (Education and work experience): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, no work experience is required 

Skills required: 

  • Good interpersonal skill 

  • Good communication skills

  • Proactive and commitment for outcome

  • Have good knowledge about current Good Manufacturing Practice.
