We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant/Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will oversee all financial operations and serve as a strategic business partner, driving financial insights to support our continued growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Manage the company's tax obligations, including liaising with tax authorities 

• Conduct internal audits and implement efficient control measures to enhance financial processes

• Serve as a strategic business partner, providing financial insights to support decision-making

• Effectively communicate financial information to leadership and stakeholders

• Negotiate with external parties, such as vendors and regulatory bodies, to secure favorable terms

• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.

• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.

• Answer’s accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.

• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 

• Perform month-end and year-end closing process

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

• CPA or ACCA certification preferred

• Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in a senior finance or accounting role

• Proven expertise in cost accounting, financial analysis, and auditing

• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Proficient in Ethiopia's tax laws and regulations, with experience in managing tax-related matters

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities

• Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems

• A team player with a customer-oriented approach
