Position: Mechanical Technical

Reports to: Production and Technical Supervisor

Place of work: Addis Ababa

Employment Type: Permanent

 Salary:  Negotiable/Based on company scale

KKGW General Import and Export is looking for Mechanical Technical.

Mechanical technical is skilled professional responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment’s and assembly parts. Their work is crucial for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of machinery and assembly, which in turn supports the overall productivity and efficiency of operations. Assist production and technical supervisor to assemble mechanical parts, optimize mechanical assembly by addressing challenges, analyze performance results, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining mechanical parts or, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.

  • Ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the assembly process by performing appropriate maintenance types to minimize technical downtime.

  • Support the production and technical supervisor on the supply chain process from material requests to the finished product by adhering to established standards, procedures, and quality requirements.

  • Working with assembly line, and other industrial mechanical components in accordance with technical drawings, standards, and safety regulations.

  • Interpret mechanical diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.

  • Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations.

  • Identify root causes, troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions, and implement corrective actions, prepare report and documentation. 

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Maintain accurate records of mechanical work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance staff or apprentices.

  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and mechanical hazards.

  • Ensure compliance with mechanical codes, regulations, and safety standards in all work activities. Respond to emergency calls and service requests to address issues promptly.

  • Communicate effectively with, supervisors, and team members to ensure timely completion of work and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Common Requirements 

Education: BSc degree in Electromechanical/Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience working as an electromechanical or mechanical engineer.

Skills: CAD, FEA, Technical drawing and schematics, design and modeling, Problem-Solving and troubleshooting/repair, Effective communication skills are essential. 

Knowledge: Technical proficiency, Standards, Data management.
