Job Description

The Head, Sales Division, under the overall leadership of the Manager, is responsible for the overall planning, leadership, management and supervision of the Sales & Distribution functions throughout the company. Also, he/she assists same in the maintenance of appropriate Sales & Distribution records and preparation of Sales & Distribution reports.

Roles and Responsibilities

1.       Plans, organizes, leads, directs and controls all the local sales operations of the company.

2.       Develops specific sales and customer service plans, and controls its implementations to ensure that the profit maximization goal of company is met.

3.       Formulates and implements all sales policies, practices and procedures.

4.       Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.

5.       Plans, coordinates, and monitors the sales targets of the company.

6.       Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.

7.       Holds regular meeting with sales & customer service staff and strongly works for their motivation.

8.       Undertakes marketing audits to monitor sales performance.

9.       Supervises all sales branches and offices.

10.    Manages sales contracts. 

11.    Develops customer relationships strategies to attract and retain customers.

12.    Evaluates the performances of the staffs in the various sales units according to company’s policy.

13.    Implements the company’s after sales services policies and procedures.

14.    Assigns, supervises, and motivates sales & distribution staff of the company for better sales performance

15.    Ensures proper collection of sales receipts from customers 

16.    Builds/maintains strong distribution network through close relationship with wholesalers and retailers

17.    helps in identifying potential markets and new demand in existing markets

18.    Implements customer relationships tools to attract and retain customers.

19.    Generates periodic reports about its division & presents to the department director.

Job Requirements

Position Requirement

1.1  Academic requirement: MA/MSC/ BSC/BA in Marketing Management or related fields.

1.2  Work experience: 6/8 years’ experience in designing and processing effective domestic sales and product distribution system in large corporate entities with trading, agricultural, and transport sector involvement is advantageous. Extensive knowledge and experience in preparing sales and product distribution manuals, systems, policies and standards is a benefit.

1.3   Desirable training: Sales and distribution management tools like Personal selling, Sales process, ERP, MS Office, etc.
