Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate written and verbal translation between Chinese, English, and/or Amharic.

• Translate company documents, reports, letters, and technical materials.

• Offer real-time interpretation during meetings, site discussions, and official communications.

• Assist management in cross-cultural communication between Chinese and local staff.

• Review and edit translated materials to ensure clarity, tone, and consistency.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle all sensitive information with professionalism.

• Support administrative and coordination tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills to Highlight:

• Excellent command of Mandarin Chinese, English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo

• Strong oral interpretation and written translation skills.

• Exceptional listening and communication abilities.

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in language use.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, Translation, Communication, or related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a translator or interpreter (preferably in a business or industrial setting).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer skills.

• Experience working with Chinese nationals or organizations is an advantage.

• Strong cultural understanding and adaptability.

Language Skill:

• Chinese, Afan Oromo, Amharic, and English
