Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Spoken English Teacher to deliver engaging and effective English language instruction to primary school students, fostering their academic growth, creativity, and confidence. The teacher will play a key role in shaping young minds and contributing to the school’s mission of excellence and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Core Teaching Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver interactive lessons focused on improving students’ speaking and listening skills in English

  • Create engaging activities such as dialogues, debates, role-plays, and presentations to build fluency and confidence

  • Use real-life scenarios and multimedia tools to enhance pronunciation, intonation, and conversational ability

  • Assess students’ spoken English through oral evaluations, group discussions, and individual presentations

  • Provide personalized feedback to help learners improve clarity, vocabulary usage, and speaking style

  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit different proficiency levels and learning styles within the classroom

Classroom & Student Management

  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and respect

  • Maintain discipline and positive behavior through consistent routines and expectations

  • Track attendance and academic records accurately and confidentially

  • Identify students with special learning needs and collaborate on individualized support plans

Collaboration & Communication

  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and concerns

  • Work closely with fellow teachers and school staff to support cross-curricular learning

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities

  • Contribute to a positive school culture by modeling professionalism and enthusiasm

Job Requirements

Qualifications

We are seeking an inspiring educator who meets the following criteria:

  • MSc/MA/BA/BSc in English or a relevant subject

  • OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with English subject specialization

  • PGDT (Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching) – mandatory

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in primary education

  • Experience in high-performing international or private schools is highly desirable

  • Strong command of English (spoken and written)

  • Proven ability to engage young learners through creative and interactive teaching methods

  • Familiarity with modern pedagogical approaches and digital learning tools

  • Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
