JOB BY KABRIBEYA WATER UTILITY, SOMALI REGION, KABRIBEYA TOWN

The Kabribeya water supply system is characterized as a large water supply system with boreholes, main bulk supply pipelines with various infrastructures along the routes of the lines. There are also reticulation networks to provide water to both the Kabribeya refugee camps and the host community. The Kabribeya Water Utility (KWU) intends to recruit a qualified Customer Service Officer

SCOPE OF WORK:

The Customer Service Officer ensures the water supply scheme to make certain of its goals on correct, current and efficient customer information to do its meter reading, preparation of bills and revenue collection with credit control. The Customer Service Officer reports directly to the Customer Care, Commercial and Communication Manager of the KWU.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To serve as a contact person between the customers and the KWU.

  •  Participates in preparing and organizing engagement events with customers.

  •  Provides frontline advice to support customers and gather feedback/complaints from customers.

  • Maintains good relationships with customers and ensures they are provided with the best customer service.

  • To implement communication procedures, policies and guidelines.

  • To observe, identify, analyze and report customers’ needs to the Commercial Manager.

  •  To answer customer questions and brief complaints on time, interact with clients in a calm and professional manner.

  •  Participate in conducting customer satisfaction surveys.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the Commercial Manager.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

  • BA in Business Administration or Marketing or related field of study from a recognized college/university.

  •  3 years of post-graduation and on the job experience in customer service area.

  • Good communication skills, community and social know-how.

  • Fluent in local languages (Somali)

  •  Thorough knowledge about the work area (Kabribeya) is an asset

  • Good knowledge of English (written and verbal)

  • Work experience related to water management area is an advantage
