Job Description

We are looking for an experienced senior accountant to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with experience in managing day-to-day financial operations, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Ethiopian accounting standards.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Prepare financial reports and analyses for management to support decision-making.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings.
Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the financial health of the company.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 4 years of professional experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
CPA or ACCA certification is an advantage.
