But every idea might not see the daylight of success without hard work and diligence. 15 years ago, Horra Trading was just an idea in the mind of Mr. Adem Kedir who meticulously worked day and night to turn it into a reality in 2005, basing himself on his extensive skill and knowledge in coffee and coffee trade. Mr. Adem Kedir’s coffee trade career started as the succeeding generation from his grandfather Mr. Abbahawa and his father Mr. Kedir Hadjji Hassan in Ethiopia. As the third-generation successor of the family coffee business, Mr. Adem has made the leap from his involvement in traditional and domestic coffee market to international coffee trade by forming his own business entity by the name of Horra Trading in 2005.
What was started as a simple trading business entity in 2005, Horra Trading has made it possible to create diversified businesses under Horra Corporate Group. Currently, Horra Corporate Group business portfolio includes coffee and oil seeds export, coffee plantation, automotive assembly, import and distribution, propylene technology manufacturing, technology, real estate development and transit and forwarding. Currently, Horra Corporate Group is led by the CEO, Mr. Adm Kedir, and by qualified and experienced professionals, with 550 permanent staff members and 800 temporary workers working in the corporate office and in different business units.

Our company would like to hire a Production Head who will assume a major role in leading our PP Tech factory production efforts.
Purpose of the Job:
The Production Head will oversee all production processes within the Polypropylene Manufacturing Business Unit. This role is responsible for optimizing production efficiency, and spearheading innovation and continuous improvement within the production process.
Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with production schedules and targets.
Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet business needs.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production output, quality, downtime, and costs, ensuring all goals are met.
Optimize plant operations to reduce waste, increase yield, and improve productivity.
Lead and manage the technical aspects of the Polypropylene production process, ensuring adherence to technological standards.
Ensure compliance with the latest advancements in Polypropylene technology and industry standards.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies and equipment upgrades to enhance production efficiency.
Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
Enforce safety protocols, ensuring all employees adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Ensure the production environment is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or in other related disciplines.
Work Experience: A minimum of 10 (ten) years of demonstrated work experience with at least 4 (four) years of demonstrated experience as Production Manager.
Competency
Strong technical knowledge of Polypropylene production and plant operations.
Proven experience in managing and leading production teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams.
Proven experience of continuous improvements initiatives.
Excellent communication skills.
Fluency in Amharic and English, written and verbal is highly required.
