Job Description

To assess the presence of insect pests, disease and weeds in the farm and take remedies asper the guidelines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Regularly assess insect pests, diseases, animal attacks and weeds incidence, 

  • Prepares pest assessment reports in type of pests, stage of the pest and/or the attack level and submits the report daily, 

  • Implements the integrated pest management program in the vineyard,

  • Checks the storage conditions for all phytosanitary materials and reports accordingly, 

  • Implements the chemicals reentry interval, pre harvest interval rules in the GAP, 

  • Performs spray work & Record and report spray work activities performed,  

  • Make vineyard visit, prepare and submit pest assessment report,

  • Implements and control the plant protection helpers to follow the GAP, and safety instruction written on the product labels,

  • Calibrates chemical spraying equipment’s and chemical measuring equipment’s,

  • Manage empty containers rinsing instruction, rinsed management and empty containers management, 

  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Skills

  • Bsc in Agronomy ,Horticulture or Related fields of studies.

Experience

  • 2 years

Skills 

  • Pest Control & Management skills

  • Communication skills.
