Job Description
To research, plan & implement farms’ planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques to improving crop yield.
Develops planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques, improving crop yield, and solving problems.
Develops planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
Researches and promotes agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage,
Assesses crop production of the farm,
Evaluates and improves seed quality,
Carries out laboratory tests of soil, seed, and crop samples,
Performs quality control for seed caliber and soil standards,
Visits fields to collect seed, plant, and soil samples,
Tests samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes,
Conduct soil analyses and develop nutrient management plans,
Recommend and oversee the application of fertilizers, soil conditioners, and other amendments to improve soil health,
Assists with the plant sourcing, testing, and selection,
Keeps detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples,
Generates reports and presenting findings to management, clients, or other interested parties,
Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification and Skills
BSc in Agronomy , Horticulture , Plant science and Related fields of studies.
Experience:

Communication skills.
