Kegna Beverages Share Company is the company which is under formation and working hard to engross in the Beverage Industry of Ethiopia that is incredibly untapped yet and fast growing.

The Company, officially endorsed on 04 March 2017 by the recommendation and promoter Committee selection of the Public Private Partnership Council of the Oromia Regional State. The promoter committee has been in contact since then frequently on the formal establishment of Kegna Beverages and on fulfilling local legal requirements of company formation, finalizing multiple discipline viability tests and studies and ground preparation for the official launching and foreign direct investment search, and approaches.

Kegna Beverages Share Company officially launched on 01 April 2017 at the Oromo Cultural Center at the Presence of higher Oromia Regional State Officials, Bank Representatives, Local Investors, invited Foreign Investors, Invited guests and Medias. The multiple studies which are mostly finalized as of now (Feasibility Study, Civil and Construction works assessment, Geotechnical, hydrology and topography analysis) on the primarily selected site of the production are finalized and ready to show the picture of the investment as of now.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced senior Machinist to join Kegna beverage share company team. He/she is responsible for performing various machining tasks on metal components and machinery, ensuring high-surface finish work and attention to detail.

Able to proposes new modification processes and possibly takes part in their development.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Running test machinery or test material before the start of machining activity.

• Read engineering drawings, lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies machined part to ensure the correct fitting.

• Set tooling parameters and establish 3-axis (X/Y/Z) work shifts from an absolute home position on the machine controller in conjunction with predetermined drawing.

• Ability to run multiple jobs concurrently and self-manage time so that machines are not inactive.

• Inspect parts against drawings or a master articles while overseeing machine functions using a variety of different measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gage pins, etc.)

• Check machine coolant and oil levels and replenish when necessary.

• Keep the machines and work stations clean and tidy, be neat, organized, and punctual.

• Operates and maintains lathe, rolling, drilling, shearing, milling and other work shop machinery.

• Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production as per instruction of immediate supervisor

• Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping. Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.

• Cut work pieces using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife

• Analyzing specification charts, samples and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements, developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications

• Measuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts, Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan

• Proposes and carries out improvement actions, corrective/modification and/or preventive actions.

• Prepare his/her own skill to produce tools & parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements.

• Participate in brainstorming / problem solving with Engineering & Production personnel to solve breakdown. Recommend new technologies for continuous improvement Follow Standard Industrial practices for working with composites & other materials.

• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, ear plug and safety shoes.

• Collaborating with other team members to complete projects within specified deadlines.

• Establishes and/or participates in the preparation of technical documents (Free hand sketch, design, draw the work piece), Perform all tasks in an efficient, safe, and productive manner.

• Ensure the stock number of consumable items required for work shop activities, side cutter, different work pieces, measuring tools, coolant etc… and Propose the right material for specific task. Perform other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education

• Certificate in general metal fabrication/ Advance diploma/BSc. in Vocational or Technical School.

Experience

• 5/8years of relevant experience in welding and metal fabrication preferable in Food

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of work shop machinery operation, electrical equipment, and manual tools

• Familiar with kaizen/5S to organize the work place

• Willingness to learn and grow in any complex environment

• Familiarity and experience operating HAAS vertical axis CNC other work shop machinery preferable.

• Willingness to be cross trained with other tasks pertaining to the manufacturing process as needed.

• Strong skill of workorder execution

• Extensive knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs

• A strong analytical skill

• Ability to work under pressure with less supervision
