Job Description

We are recruiting an enthusiastic and high-achieving General Services Supervisor to expand our reach and develop and implement a clear strategy. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in managing and overseeing operational support services across our facilities, ensuring that all areas operate smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. You will supervise the general services team, implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and coordinate the maintenance of company assets.

Key Responsibility

  • Manage day-to-day general services, including office supplies, fleet management, cleaning, and maintenance.

  • Oversee security systems, and safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulations. 

  • Manage diesel purchases and distribution, oversee car services, repairs, and tracking, and ensure effective asset and vehicle management, including tracking vehicle usage.

  • Supervise maintenance of generators, water tanks, and office utilities; perform minor repairs and assist with larger projects.

  • Operate light and heavy equipment for site maintenance and repairs.

  • Oversee expat residences, ensuring compliance with company regulations and managing utilities.

  • Oversee cleaning and material checks and Ensure cleanliness and serviceability of facilities and grounds. Ensure drivers, kitchen staff, and security personnel maintain a professional appearance.

  • Follow up and manage payments for various utilities, including car insurance.

  • Assist in managing relationships with vendors, issue tracking, and service providers, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.

  • Oversee all aspects of property management, including maintenance and improvements. 

  • Manage medical-related issues and coordinate healthcare services. 

  • Develop and implement improvement strategies for operations and perform miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned.

  • oversee security systems, external security, and safety protocols across sites.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Facility Management, or a related field. 

  • Required Above 5 years of experience in general services or facilities management with at least 3 years in a leadership role. 

  • Valid Ethiopian driving license.

  • English proficiency is mandatory.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Understanding facility management, including generators, water tanks, and office utilities.

  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations to ensure compliance.

  • Skills in building and maintaining relationships with vendors and service providers.

  • Ability to manage budgets and ensure timely payments for utilities and services.

  • Proficiency in operating light and heavy equipment for maintenance and repairs.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to facilities and utilities.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to supervise staff and coordinate with teams.
