Job Description

Moyee Coffee Roasting Plc is the First multi-national coffee roasting company and a leading roasted coffee exporter  based in Ethiopia with an integrated end-to-end operation throughout the coffee value chain,  from crop to cup. All of our growing and roasting is done in Ethiopia. In addition to its successful international sales, Moyee offers premium locally roasted coffee, which is distributed to top-tier hotels and leading supermarkets across the country.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in Coffee Cupping – Strong ability to assess flavor profiles, detect defects, and ensure quality consistency

  • Deep Understanding of Coffee Processing – Knowledge of wet and dry processing, fermentation, drying, and storage techniques.

  • Grading & Classification – Skilled in SCA and CQI standards for green coffee grading, defect identification, and quality assessment.

  • Roasting & Sample Preparation – Experience in developing and maintaining roasting profiles for accurate cupping evaluations.

  • Quality Assurance & Compliance – Familiar with industry certifications (Fair Trade, Organic, and Rainforest Alliance) and quality control processes.

  • Training & Capacity Building – Ability to train farmers, washing station staff, and internal teams on quality standards and best practices.

  • Data Management & Reporting – Strong analytical skills to document cupping results, track quality trends, and provide feedback.

  • Supply Chain Collaboration – Experience working with coffee producers, exporters, and buyers to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving – Ability to detect inconsistencies and implement solutions to enhance coffee quality.                         

Job Requirements

Educational Background & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Agriculture, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in coffee quality control, cupping, and grading.

  • Certified Q Grader with extensive experience in coffee sensory evaluation and cupping protocols.
