FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY:

To maintain the vehicle always in operationally fit condition and ensure provision of effective transportation service to the assigned program/project/unit

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Driving assigned vehicle while transporting staff or assets on official work

• Ensure daily cleanliness & periodic maintenance of assigned vehicles

• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records in the vehicle log book on Fuel and lubricants consumed, duties undertaken with mileage, repairs/maintenances undertaken & spares/materials consumed

• Safeguarding the vehicle and all of its contents in his custody  Ensuring that the assigned vehicle is well serviced and in good mechanical order always for both local & out station duties

• Strict adherence to traffic rules and regulations, while driving

ACCOUNTABILITY

•  Supervision:     Works under the general direction of assigned supervisor

• Decision Making: Makes basic and logistical decisions with regards to work responsibilities and is accountable for them.

• Responsibility over data or Information: Maintain regular records on general information as relates to duties assigned, vehicle maintenance, repairs and consumption of fuels, oils and lubricants

•   Responsibility over assets: Assigned vehicle's maintenance, security& safety

• Responsibility over Staff: None

High school education Clean Driving LicenseAdditionally, mechanical training relevant Experience

Driving Experience Length of experience at least 3 years Ke skillsMechanical Personal AttributesMature, courteous & keen in automobiles
