About the Ethiopian Red Cross Society
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) was established in 1935 and is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. ERCS provides services to communities affected by natural and manmade disasters through the provision of emergency responses, ambulance and first aid, family reunification, essential drugs, water and sanitation, and other humanitarian services. ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. Currently the ERCS has a structure consisting of 12 Regional Offices, 34 Zonal Branches and 131 District/Woreda Branches, 599 Woreda Red Cross Committee and 5871 Kebele Red Cross committees.
ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs relating to food security, climate change adaptation, livelihood diversification, and institutional capacity building interventions, with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. ERCS works in partnership with the Ethiopian Government, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), partnering National Societies, members, volunteers and the communities we serve.

JOB SUMMARY
Accountable to the Head Resource Mobilization and Expansion Services, the Private and Corporate Fundraising Senior Expert shall Participate in development of operational plan of the work unit, Implements the same and work towards to fulfill the fundraising targets set in the NS strategic plan; the position holder will be responsible for working with corporate donors and partners. He/ She will be responsible for attracting new and retaining existing corporate donors, building trusted relationships, developing and managing the database, monitoring and improving the donation process, and launching fundraising campaigns. In this position you will be responsible for working with corporate donors and partners. You will contribute to attracting new and retaining existing corporate donors, building trusted relationships, managing the database, monitoring and improving the donation process, and launching fundraising campaigns. The position holder will also be responsible for developing tailored fundraising strategies at HQ and branches; Plan and organize high level nationwide local and international fundraising campaigns; prepare proposals and necessary documents for managing fundraising campaigns; conduct mapping of nationwide corporate donors, design and implements efficient donor data base management system and continually identify new ways of maintaining and improving corporate partner/donor relationship; Identify and target high-value donors; negotiate with high value donors for managing successful CSR funding deals; plan and manage corporate donors & partners recognition and acknowledgement programs.
Planning, Supervision and Monitoring
Participate in development of the overall resource mobilization policy, strategy and working documents of the NS;
Participate in development of an operational plan of the work unit, implements the same and work towards to fulfill the fundraising targets set in the NS strategic plan;
Maintains and ensures the application of the Resource Development and Mobilization and utilization policy, strategies and procedures in all fundraising events, donations and efforts of support solicitations of the Society at all levels;
Provide technical and advisory support to branches to develop and execute an effective fundraising strategies and plans;
Donor Acquisition and Retention
Identify, map and cultivate relationships with potential corporate donors,
Develop and implement strategies to attract new corporate partners.
Design and implement efficient donor data base management system and continually identify new ways of maintaining and improving corporate partner/donor relationship;
Manage, support and develop fundraising activities in line with the fundraising strategy.
Establishing new contacts with corporate partners through calls, correspondence, social media, attending online and offline events, etc.
Proposal Development & Fundraising Campaign
Create compelling and tailored fundraising proposals for corporate donors.
Collaborate with program teams to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities.
Develop ToR, Proposals, and other necessary documents for executing successful local & international fundraising campaigns;
Facilitates and ensures timely collections of donated resources;
Event Management and communications
Plan and execute high level local and international fundraising campaigns;
Execute Negotiation and deals with high value donors for securing mobilization of CSR funds;
Works with pertinent work units to attain the fundraising, donation and support solicitation goal;
Collaborate with the communication team to create engaging materials showcasing the impact of corporate partnerships (presentations, proposals, reports).
Effectively communicate the organization’s mission and goals to potential corporate donors.
Networking and Relationship Building:
Maintain strong relationships with existing donors, ensuring their continued support.
Attend relevant industry events to network and build relationships with potential partners.
Represent the organization at meetings and presentations to showcase our impact and fundraising needs.
Plan and execute recognition and acknowledgement programs for partners and corporate donors;
Others
Prepares and submits regular and extraordinary periodic reports to the Head of Resource Mobilization Service;
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Head of Resource Mobilization Service;
