Job Description
SWISS DIAGNOSTICS ETHIOPIA looking for IT expert who responsible for managing and supporting all IT infrastructure related to laboratory diagnostic equipment and systems. This role requires proficiency in integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory software, databases, and hardware to ensure optimal functionality and security. The ideal candidate will also provide technical support to laboratory staff, optimize workflow processes, and collaborate with cross functional teams to improve diagnostic capabilities.

Manage and maintain laboratory diagnostic software, systems, and databases.
Support and troubleshoot laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other diagnostic tools.
Install, configure, and maintain laboratory equipment and software updates.
Ensure system security, backup, and data recovery processes for all laboratory systems.
Work closely with laboratory managers and technical staff to understand their IT needs and implement effective solutions.
Provide technical support to laboratory personnel, including training and assistance with software or hardware issues.
Integrate diagnostic instruments and devices with laboratory information systems for efficient data flow.
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and propose/implement improvements.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to resolve any hardware or software problems.
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare IT regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and industry standards.
Document and maintain detailed records of system configurations, updates, and troubleshooting steps.
Assist in the development and implementation of new technologies to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience in IT support or management in a healthcare or laboratory environment.
Experience with laboratory diagnostic systems, including LIMS, radiology, or pathology software.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
Familiarity with database management and data analysis tools.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues quickly.
