Responsible for evaluating farm/ land development costs, coffee nursery processes, coffee bearer plants growth stages and productivity, complex, and sensitive audits within the company to ensure the overall company’s operations are in line with the company’s policies and procedures. 

 Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts performance audits to evaluate the economic, efficient and effective utilizations of resources in farm/ land development, coffee nursery processes, coffee bearer plants growth and harvest productivity.

• Collaborate with financial auditors to ensure that the performance audit or evaluations made should be included in the financial audit expressed in terms of monetary values.

• Evaluate the research, identification and assistance in the selection of trellis systems, irrigation methods, fertilization /herbicides, and predator methods of application or deterrent,

• Evaluate all of predator fencing systems, trellis systems, irrigation/ fertilization systems and planting of the farmyards are as per the standard, 

• Evaluate research, identification and assistance in the determination of proper field equipment/ tool needs to maintain all related operations are in the proper order.

• Evaluate the management and oversight of all planting, plant training, maintenance, fertilization, irrigation, herbicide / pesticide / predator controls systems/processes, and trellis systems and harvesting,

• Evaluate the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies. 

• Evaluate the management and oversight of field(s) preparation, soils amendments, fertilization usage, and ground cover plan development and integrated Pest management tasks,

• Evaluate the monitoring and implementation procedures to maintain and improve farmyards quality, 

• Evaluate the monitoring of Irrigation, erosion control, trellis and irrigation installation and maintenance tasks, 

• Evaluate the work with nursery consultants to research, identify and assist in the determination of the best planting locations of the selected seed varietals,

• Evaluate that all necessary farm equipment’s are on site and in good operating condition prior to work, supervision of equipment maintenance and making sure that workers properly utilize equipment,

• Evaluate the preparation of plans and schedules for planting and harvesting, 

• Evaluate the visits to inspect crops, livestock, and also performance of tests on soil and water.

• Evaluate the seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked.

• Evaluate the monitoring of work environment cleanness in compliance with country, state, and federal regulations,

• Evaluate the research, identification and assistance in the determination of proper seeds varietals to be procured

  and planted.

• Propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and identifying other areas of improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies.   

• Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations and detect discrepancies.

• Report on the findings and recommendations and monitors management's response and implementation of same,

• Perform analysis and conclude on the effectiveness and efficiency of the control system, identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement,

• Follow up and ensure the implementation of audit recommendations,

• Stay up-to-date on the latest coffee plantation standards and practices,

• Prepare periodic summary reports to the immediate supervisor,

• Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Skills

• Bsc or Msc in Coffee science, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Plant science or other related fields of study

Experience:  

• 3 years for Msc in Coffee plantation or another related plantation

• 5 years for Bsc in Coffee plantation or another related plantation

Skills:

• Analytical and critical thinking,
