We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team at Stellar Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for accuracy and organization. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in our finance department, supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately.
Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Prepare and draft correspondence for various financial matters.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed.
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
Post financial transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals.
Ensure accuracy of posting and make corrections as needed.
Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and assistance as required.
Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and assist in analyzing financial performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in import/export tax laws and the industry in general.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
