Position title: Gender-Based Violence(GBV) Case Worker

Job Summary
The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Case Worker will report to the field emergency response coordinator and provide all comprehensive GBV, MHPSS, and SRH services at WGFS and our reach-level services. The incumbent additionally assists the protection sector in ensuring the proper execution of the GBV thematic area along with the larger protection and community services components. She will oversee all GBV activities in the Women and Girls' Friendly Space (WGFS), including assessing women and girls' immediate needs, setting immediate care and treatment goals, and implementing and monitoring women's and girls' care plans.
Provide direct, one-on-one, and ongoing case management services, including safety planning.
Conduct all steps of the case management process: intake, assessment and engagement, case planning, supported referrals, developing practical skills, case review, and building client capacity.
Work closely with other stakeholders for the integration of the survivors back into the community and enhance access to livelihood opportunities for GBV survivors to support their healing and reintegration process.
Responsible to handle site and outreach compressive GBV, MHPSS and SRH service.
Offer basic psychosocial support services to survivors. Determine the need for therapeutic psychosocial or psychiatric support for further referral to specialized service providers.
Ensure that all the GBV interventions adhere to protection standards and principles as well as FH guidelines and accountability standards.
Working with ‘at-risk’ young people, their families, and the community to strengthen community-based interventions.
Consider the cultural, age, and gender appropriateness of the project activities and be creative for effective implementation of project activities.
Represent the project at the site level and attend the meetings under the center manager and Emergency responses coordinator.
Carry out routine visits to their home, the community, and the protection/safe houses, and assess the needs of the survivors, vulnerable women, and girls; carry out the needs; and implement under the supervision of the site manager and be responsible for all site-level activities.
Responsible for site resources and budget and working collaboratively with the center manager/Emergency responses coordinator and cashiers & storekeepers for effective budget utilization and timely reporting of the site.
Monitor and supervise the daily work implementation of the community incentive worker.
Ensure up-to-date filing and documentation of GBV cases in line with FH standard tools.
Contribute to the daily quality implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of SGBV-related projects and interventions in the jurisdiction.
Conduct a timely safety audit, satisfaction survey, and PDM, and submit the report to supervisors.
Working in close collaboration with the GBV Responses and Prevention team and Emergency responses coordinator/centre manager, she/he will proactively contribute to the quality and timely writing of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Exemplify core principles of GBV programming, including respect, non-discrimination, responsible use of power, non-violence, and promotion of gender equality.
Lead and directly implement the GBV prevention program and the implementation of GBV awareness-raising prevention and outreach activities and provide on-the-job technical support for community incentive workers.
Responsible for SASA programming and effective implementation.
Identify the age, gender, and disability-sensitive risks, threats, and vulnerabilities with regular monitoring of well-being and negative coping strategies.
Undertaking other project tasks as required.

Education and Experience:
University degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or relevant fields.
A minimum of three years of experience working with GBV and MHPSS programs, including working with survivors and at-risk women and adolescent girls, is preferred, particularly in a humanitarian or advocacy setting.

Language
Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of the local language of the intervention area is a must.
