Reports To: the Dean of the college /CEO

The Fundraising Officer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support LeDeG midwifery college's programs and initiatives. This position requires creative thinking, strong communication skills, and a passion for LeDeG mission and vision, to engage with donors, cultivate relationships, and secure funding.
Fundraising Strategy Development:
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet annual revenue targets.
Identify new funding opportunities and revenue streams aligned with the organization’s goals.
Donor Engagement and Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporations, and foundations.
Personalize communication strategies to engage existing and potential donors effectively.
Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
Research and identify potential grants, foundations, and sponsorships.
Write and submit compelling grant proposals and funding requests in a timely manner
Event Planning and Management:
Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure successful events.
Communication and Marketing:
Work on marketing and communications to enhance the organization's visibility and outreach
Develop promotional materials and content for fundraising campaigns.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and analyze fundraising performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.
Adjust strategies based on reporting insights to improve future fundraising efforts.
Budget Management:
Assist in the preparation and management of the fundraising budget.
Ensure financial accountability and transparency in all fundraising activities.
Collaboration and Team Work:
Collaborate with other college staff to align fundraising efforts with organizational needs.
Foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization by engaging staff and volunteers.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or MA/MSc in Management, business Administration, Marketing, or a related fields.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations,
Proven track record in successfully securing donations and managing donor relationships.
Preferably NGO experience in fundraising is a desired
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with grant writing and proposal development.
Proficiency in fundraising software and database management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Passion for girl’s education and women empowerment and health
