To provide strategic leadership and oversee the development, direction, and execution of HANDTECH’s production, maintenance, packaging, and quality control strategies across the Group’s manufacturing plants. Ensure operations are cost-effective, aligned with HANDTECH’s mission, vision, values, and business performance objectives. Achieve output and quality targets by optimizing assets, human resources, and exceptional leadership, driving excellence and profitability.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute production policies and operational plans aligned with group-level strategies to achieve productivity and performance goals.

• Plan, implement, and manage manufacturing capacity, processes, facility layouts, and technology in coordination with other functions.

• Create and manage the annual manufacturing budget, including production costs, labor, and inventory, adhering to Group guidelines.

• Ensure production plans meet budget, profit, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) requirements through collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain teams.

• Oversee all maintenance activities (emergency, breakdown, preventive, and planned) by ensuring the availability of manpower, tools, and spare parts.

• Direct the introduction of new machinery and oversee the disposal of obsolete equipment in compliance with Group policies and regulatory standards.

• Ensure production quality aligns with business objectives, company policies, and industry standards.

• Maintain compliance with all legal and statutory obligations, including food safety, HACCP, SHE, and other relevant regulations.

• Oversee the adoption and implementation of appropriate technological solutions to enhance business performance and operational efficiency.

• Continuously evaluate and optimize processes to reduce costs, eliminate waste, and improve efficiency.

• Lead projects and technological innovations related to cost-saving initiatives, outsourcing, and operational improvements.

• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial and operational performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Ensure machinery, equipment, and utilities function efficiently to avoid operational disruptions.

• Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency response plans, and accident prevention programs.

• Uphold Group and industry standards for environmental sustainability.

• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment to promote growth, competency development, and employee engagement.

• Set clear performance expectations, conduct evaluations, provide coaching, and address performance concerns or disciplinary issues.

• Ensure seamless integration of the value chain across manufacturing facilities from input to output.

• Prevent overproduction or underproduction by aligning production with actual demand.

• Conduct research and feasibility studies to identify and develop new business opportunities – input for the construction business.

• Ensure products meet local and international standards for compliance and export readiness.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

• Education: MSc in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years’ experience in senior management roles in technical and industrial operations within a large FMCG organization. Expertise in business planning, production strategy design, and implementation.
