Job Description

To provide strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight of HANDTECH Group's trading business. This role is responsible for driving profitability by managing and coordinating key functions, including sales generation, operations, distribution, and plant activities, while fostering strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The position involves planning, organizing, and optimizing logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and supply chain processes. Additionally, the role entails analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing strategic initiatives to expand export/import volumes and revenues, ensuring alignment with the Group's overall goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective export/import strategies aligned with the Group's goals.

  • Analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and implement strategies to increase export/import volumes and revenue.

  • Lead efforts to expand the customer base and diversify tradeable items, focusing on sustainability and customer loyalty.

  • Lead efforts to expand the Group’s market presence and customer base.

  • Conduct trade trend analysis and gap assessments to identify new business opportunities.

  • Analyze competitor activity and market dynamics to identify areas for growth.

  • Manage the entry into free trade zone operations, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.

  • Oversee the movement of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.

  • Monitor and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.

  • Coordinate customs clearance, shipping operations, and documentation for import/export transactions.

  • Oversee the adoption and implementation of appropriate technological solutions to enhance business performance and operational efficiency.

  • Stay updated on changes in export/import regulations and ensure full compliance with domestic and international trade laws.

  • Obtain necessary licenses and permits to ensure smooth operations.

  • Ensure that all export/import documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin) is accurate and submitted on time.

  • Prepare and manage budgets for export/import operations, covering logistics, marketing, staffing, and other associated costs.

  • Oversee the financial aspects of the trading operations, including forecasting, cost control, and analysis of import/export costs, tariffs, and taxes.

  • Monitor market and economic trends to optimize financial performance and profitability.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and vendors.

  • Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and conditions with suppliers and customers to ensure the best outcomes for the business.

  • Resolve any disputes or issues that arise with customers or vendors.

  • Manage existing client relationships to maximize opportunities and build long-term partnerships.

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development for team members to ensure high performance.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and productivity.

  • Explore and lead initiatives in e-commerce and digital platforms to enhance import/export business opportunities.

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports, documentation, and records related to import/export transactions.

  • Prepare and present reports on operational performance, market trends, and financial outcomes to senior management.

  • Collaborate with internal departments, including logistics, finance, and sales, to ensure seamless import/export operations.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Education: MBA in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in export/import operations, with at least 5 years in a management role. In-depth understanding of customs rules, regulations, and the complete import-export process.
